明治の半ば、富山・砺波の地に店を構えてから百余年。時代とともに街の姿や暮らしは変わっていきましたが、私たちが大切にしてきた「一つひとつの彫り物に責任を持つ」という想いは、今も変わることはありません。

昔は春になれば寝る間もないほどご注文をいただき、人々の進学や就職、人生の大きな節目にそっと寄り添ってまいりました。時代がどんなに便利になり、ハンコを取り巻く環境が変わろうとも、人生の意思を形にする道具であるからこそ、手仕事のぬくもりと信用を裏切らない丁寧な店づくりを貫いています。

Founded in the mid-Meiji era over a century ago in Tonami, Toyama, Sato Imbo has stood the test of time. While times and the town around us have transformed, our fundamental philosophy has remained unchanged: to take complete responsibility for every single carving we create.

For generations, we have quietly accompanied people through life’s defining milestones—from youth entering higher education to beginning careers. No matter how convenient the world becomes or how technology evolves, a seal remains a deeply personal instrument used to manifest one’s will. That is why we continue to uphold honest craftsmanship, unhurried hand-finishing, and the trust our customers place in us.

Today, it is an honor to share this long-cultivated heritage with the world through a new expression. From our modest atelier in Toyama, every piece is carefully crafted with the same enduring spirit and dedication.
